Jo-Anne Hopkins, RHN Aromatherapist CMP
Jo-Anne is the Manager of the Kingston Branch, as well as an active teacher for the branch. As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Aromatherapist and Canine Massage Practitioner, she brings a variety of knowledge to the holistic health care field. Jo-Anne has over 7 years teaching experience, over 12 years experience in the holistic health field. Eleanor Pike-Nurse, B.Sc.
Eleanor Pike-Nurse holds a dual BSc (Hons) in Biology and Anthropology from Trent University. She also holds a Homeopathic Degree from the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine. She has her own part-time homeopathic practice and has managed a Loblaws Natural Value section for a few years. Through her own part-time practice and her job, she has kept up with the latest research information and products entering into the natural foods and natural health industry over the last 6 years. Eleanor is teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry/Biochemistry and Cellular Biology for the Kingston Branch. Ellen Steele, RHN RNCP CSNA
Ellie teaches Body, Mind, Spirit, Sports Nutrition, Eco-Nutrition and Food & Environment practicums at the Kingston Branch. In Ellie's private practice, Whole Body Wellness, she combines holistic nutrition and mind-body-spirit wellness using Reiki and energy psychology. She is a graduate of CSNN, as well as the Canadian Health Food Association's Certified Sports Nutrition Advisor program. She holds a Personal Trainer Specialist certificate with the Canadian Fitness Professionals, which enables her to incorporate fitness into her healing practice as well. Mary Wood, RHN
Mary teaches the Fundamentals of Business, Lifecycle Nutrition Pediatric & Perspective On Aging for CSNN at the Kingston Branch. Mary has been involved in adult education for over 18 years, and continues to provide education to adults of all ages through private and group consultations, for Provincial Government offices, through Kingston Frontenac Lennox & Addington Public Health (as a Community Food Advisor), and is on the Board of Directors for the Kingston and area Good Food Box. Mary has completed the Cook Basic Program through Liaison College to better equip herself to teach food preparation techniques to clients who are struggling with getting back to eating and preparing natural, whole foods. |
