FAQ
AHN Program - Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is unique about CSNN's Advanced Holistic Nutrition workshops compared to other continuing education workshops?

  • CSNN’s Advanced Holistic Nutrition workshops are designed specifically for holistic nutritionists.  Course curriculum in the advanced holistic nutrition workshops incorporates information from a variety of academic sources and is not based on product literature, thereby giving students a rounded and unbiased approach to the subject matter.  Many of the workshops are longer and in greater depth than typical continuing education workshops. Students can take single workshops and/or accumulate credits towards the Advanced Holistic Nutrition diploma.

2. How will taking Advanced Holistic Nutrition workshops benefit me as a practitioner?

  • The Advanced Holistic Nutrition workshops help you become more knowledgeable, more confident, and more effective as a holistic nutritionist.  Health care practitioners should upgrade and update their knowledge, due to the complexity of the human body and human health. By gaining in-depth knowledge and understanding, you will gain a deeper understanding of your clients’ overall health and gain confidence in your nutrition, lifestyle and supplement recommendations.  As holistic nutrition becomes increasingly integrated into the health care system, it becomes increasingly important for holistic nutritionists to broaden their knowledge base and communicate effectively with other health care practitioners.

3. What are the entrance requirements?

  • Graduates of CSNN’s Natural Nutrition program automatically qualify for entry into the Advanced Holistic Nutrition program and workshops.  All health care professionals are welcome to take the advanced interest workshops, which are the elective component of the Advanced Holistic Nutrition program. Those wanting entry into the Advanced Holistic Nutrition program for diploma purposes must provide a transcript from an accredited school and pass the entrance exam.  If interested in the entrance exam, please contact CSNN’s Registrar at hq@csnn.ca.  Those interested in the elective workshops and not the Advanced Holistic Nutrition diploma are exempted from the entrance exam, however, they will be asked to sign a waiver.

4. What is my title after I complete the requirements of the Advanced Holistic Nutrition diploma?

  • Those successfully completing the requirements of the Advanced Holistic Nutrition program will receive a diploma to this effect.  Graduates of the Natural Nutrition program will earn an A for ‘advanced’ in front of their R.H.N. designation.

5. Where do I find the schedules of the Advanced Holistic Nutrition workshops being offered?
