Registration and Admission
Admission Requirements
CSNN’s Natural Nutrition program attracts professionals from around the world and all walks of life: doctors and health care practitioners from various countries, complementary health care practitioners, fitness trainers, chefs, writers, and educators. Though many CSNN students have degrees and diplomas from other post-secondary institutions, this is not a prerequisite. CSNN has an inclusive policy regarding education and believes that everyone should be given equal opportunity to learn. The most decisive ingredient in becoming a successful CSNN student is the passion to learn holistic nutrition. Though the minimum entrance requirement is a secondary school diploma or equivalent, applicants 19 years of age or older who do not have a secondary school diploma may be admitted as mature students*. A minimum high school level background in sciences is recommended but not mandatory. A study skills guide will be offered to those who feel they require it. * A grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent is compulsory at some branches. Advanced Standing (A/S)
Advanced standing will be considered upon receipt of official transcripts, plus an assessment fee of $50 + taxes per course. Granting of exemptions is strictly at the discretion of the branch manager, and decisions are final. A minimum of 75 % of total studies must be taken with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in order to be eligible for the Diploma in Natural Nutrition. Prior learning assessment and advanced standing do not apply at all branches. Information Sessions and Auditing of Classes
The many locations of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition offer information sessions for those who would like more detailed information about the Natural Nutrition Program. Auditing a class is an option. For a brochure and more information, please call the CSNN branch that interests you / nearest you. Registration/General Information
A registration form will be sent with a brochure upon request. It is advised that potential students register well before the March and September start dates as enrollment is limited to 15 to 30 students per class. Tuition tax receipts (T2202A) are issued for income tax purposes. Refunds are given for withdrawals where applicable (A maximum administrative charge of $350+taxes may apply). Payment Plans
The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition offers convenient installment plans*. Potential students may also want to check with their nearest Human Resources Development Canada office to see if they qualify for education funding. Some banks provide student lines of credit and information regarding the Lifelong Learning Plan. *Interest charges may apply. Refunds
Program withdrawals at any point in time must be made in writing (delivered in person or by registered mail), and received by the student's home branch a minimum of thirty days prior to the start date of the program. A $100+tax administrative fee applies. Withdrawals made less than 30 days prior to the program start date may be subject to further administrative fees to a maximum of $350 + taxes. Please allow 30 days for processing. Further details can be found in the student handbook. CSNN reserves the right to make changes in fees, course content, policies or any other content at any time. Withdrawals and refund policies are subject to provincial regulations.
