Vancouver: Demonstration Kitchen


Welcome to CSNN Vancouver’s on-site demonstration kitchen—the heart of our Whole & Natural Food Preparation classes.

Designed to enrich kitchen skills and confidence, students are introduced to an array of whole foods, diverse methods of food preparation and how certain techniques can enhance the therapeutic qualities of food. During 30 hours of experiential learning, students sharpen their practical abilities while deepening their knowledge of whole foods and holistic health. We are pleased to offer a Holistic Culinary Certificate for students who complete all 30 hours of training.

All classes are held in our state-of-the-art kitchen featuring: 2 Wolf wall ovens, Wolf cooktop, Beverage Air Reach-In refrigerator, Hobart commercial dishwasher, stainless steel prep sink and double wash-up sinks, Silestone counter tops, and butcher block maple tables. To enhance the learning experience, three 38” flat screen TVs have been installed at various positions in the room so that all the action can be seen up-close, thanks to an HD camera/lens. Each station is also equipped with all the tools and utensils so that students can participate fully.

These innovative classes were developed exclusively for CSNN students as a compliment to the academic component of the program. By continually drawing parallels between what is learned in the classroom and what can be created in the kitchen, students experience a direct application of their knowledge. Flexible and interactive by nature, our classes enrich an experienced cook’s skillset and provide novices with a strong foundation.

All classes are taught by CSNN instructors who are trained chefs in addition to being Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professionals.

By providing students with specialized hands-on training, we meet the growing need for experiential learning and increase the range of opportunities, confidence and ultimately the health of our students, graduates and their clients.
