Ottawa was chosen as Canada’s capital city for a reason. As one of the most beautiful cities in the country, it is home to impressive national sites and famous landmarks, including the Rideau Canal. It’s a city full of culture, with world-class museums and galleries displaying stunning national collections and special exhibitions from our own country and around the world. The city is a uniquely beautiful and urban centre on the edge of nature where you can enjoy the great outdoors. Explore the distinctive local neighbourhoods, including the ByWard Market, which boasts a bustling farmers’ market and chic shops as well as numerous restaurants. Ottawa is home to a very health-conscious community, offering many health food stores, gyms and holistic health care services.
