Alumni Profile: Kelli Etheridge
Kelli Etheridge graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2013, with honours. In 2015, Kelli began teaching at CSNN Nanaimo. At present she teaches Nutritional Symptomatology, Motivational Interviewing, Business Fundamentals, and the Foods 2 workshop, which focuses on fermentation.
In May 2016, Kelli was pleased to win the Trailblazer Awards from the CSNN Alumni Association.
Kelli owns Modern Roots Nutrition which focuses on providing fermentation supplies and workshops on fermenting. It was during her time as a student at CSNN that her love of fermentation developed. She knew then that she had to go out into the world and spread the love of fermented foods and drinks.
She also co-owns STIR Cooking School in Nanaimo, which focuses on whole foods cooking classes. Kelli believes that one of the best ways to improve health is to prepare your own food. Cooking skills are essential, but more importantly, people need to be inspired and empowered in the kitchen.
