Plant-Based Chocolate Freezer Fudge

Hands up if you love chocolate fudge! I know my hand is up. It’s the perfect chocolatey treat and I love that you can keep it in the freezer and have a piece or two when you are in the mood for chocolate. This recipe is made with whole-food, plant-based (vegan) ingredients to add nutrients and avoid inflammatory ingredients.

This one is definitely kid friendly! That’s my 2-year-old’s hand in the photo. My two daughters love to help in the kitchen and this recipe is perfect for kids because it’s easy and mostly involves stirring. They loved making this fudge and they loved taste-testing it just as much.

Make this recipe at the start of the week so you have a delicious snack or dessert all week long. It’s super easy to make and so rich and flavourful. You could even sprinkle the top with some flaky sea salt if you love that sweet and salty combination.

Recipe

Ingredients:
1 ½ cups of smooth natural almond butter
½ cup of unrefined coconut oil, melted and cooled
1 ¼ cup of pure maple syrup
1 cup of cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon of himalayan pink salt or sea salt
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Stir together all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour into an 8×8 baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  2. Freeze for at least one hour, then cut into pieces. You can then store it in the fridge or freezer in an airtight container.
