We are located in the heart of Vancouver’s vibrant and fun Kitsilano neighborhood (Kits to locals). Walking distance to the beach, and weekend farmer’s markets, Kitsilano has all the conveniences of the big city, but in a walkable environment that has excellent public transit links to other parts of the city and beyond.
Kitsilano was originally Vancouver’s hippie haven in the sixties, with W4th Avenue being nick-named the Rainbow Road. The area has a very rich history and it still retains some of that laid back vibe from the summer of love, with some famous hippie haunts like The Naam still going strong. Now though, Kits is also home to boutique shops and cafés, numerous outdoor sports and fashion stores and some of North America’s finest sushi establishments.
Kits has festivals in summertime with live music and interesting vendors. The Vancouver Folk Music festival and Khatsalano Street Party take place only a few blocks away from us. For the sports fans we have kite-surfing and beach volleyball. Hikers will love the many trails dotted along the coast and Pacific Spirit Regional park.
We also have a buzzing film industry here with top movies and shows filming all year, so there is always the chance of bumping into your favourite celebrity while you’re out grabbing your morning chai-latte.
Whether you like fun bars, comedy clubs, yoga, shopping or just chilling at the beach, Kitsilano has tons to offer; come and find your new favourite hang-out spot!
