From a young age, Crystal has always had a deep interest in nutrition and medicine. She began her career in the healthcare industry as a pharmacy technician. After this, she worked in research for numerous years while completing her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge. She completed her formal education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Crystal has since pursued additional training as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Naturopathic Doula and training in maternal mental health. She practiced in British Columbia as a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a special interest in hormones, allergies, postpartum care and neurodivergent conditions. After many years in clinical practice, Crystal has shifted her focus towards her family and her passion for education.
Supporting the learning journey of the next generation of health and nutrition professionals is something Crystal finds deeply rewarding. She believes that meaningful learning is a collaborative process where instructors and students learn from each other’s personal insights and life experiences. She looks forward to helping students grow into compassionate, knowledgeable nutritionists.
