If you decide to start in September, you will attend theory classes Mon & Wed mornings from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Occasionally classes will end early between 12:00 and 1:00pm.
If you decide to start in March, you will attend theory classes Tue & Thurs mornings from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Occasionally classes will end early between 12:00 and 1:00pm.
If you are in the NNP program (Natural Nutrition Diploma Program) you also must get 50 hours of practicals. Those are *generally* held Monday through Thursday on the offsetting mornings from your theory. However, practical hours can vary slightly.
You will receive your full schedule program as soon as you are registered so that you can plan your year!
Most classes are between 3-4 hours long. They mostly start in the morning (either 9am or 10am).
Yes, absolutely! However, for best practices and to ensure your best success in the program, we suggest you are working part time.
If you are in the Enhanced Clinical Studies program, keep in mind you are in school every day Mon-Thur, so your daytime working hours will be very limited.
A practical is a class that enhances the learning experience of the student. Practicals are learning moments outside of the theory classes offered. They can be a concentrated topic, such as “liver health” or “thyroid health”, or they can be a class that helps you build community connections. They can also be farm tours or an education moment on making natural health products.
Some practicals are mandatory.
The Natural Nutrition Diploma Program needs 50 hours of practicals.
The Enhanced Clinical Studies Program needs 250 hours of practicals.

Yes! We have several different options.
Nutrition Basics – try out a small class, where you can learn a lot about nutrition in your house! To get access, request a brochure.
Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Certificate – this program is build for the average user who just needs to know a bit more. 20 hours of solid information LIVE with one of our very dynamic instructor. All classes are done on Zoom.
Introduction to Fundamentals Certificate – This course is the first 36 hours of our diploma program. We teach you some amazing fundamentals with the idea that you can easily continue towards your diploma program at a later date. Many students take this option if they want to try out school before committing.
Since our Graduates’ designations are the most recognized in the holistic nutrition industry, companies seek out CSNN Graduates to fill their employment opportunities. Job ads are posted in the classroom, on the graduate section of the website, and on Distance Education’s online chat group. CSNN graduates also qualify to join the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals (CAHN-Pro) and the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (CANNP).
CSNN Edmonton has a job search program, whereby students and grads are notified of opportunities in their area.

Yes, we are a designated school. Funding or subsidy programs will often only participate in schools which are designated in Alberta.
In Alberta, CSNN’s Natural Nutrition program is licensed under the Private Vocational Training Act with AB Advanced Education.
Yes, CSNN provides tuition and education tax receipts to students.

There are many differences! However, they do come down to 4 key areas.
The ECS program currently has a start date of August 29, 2022. Your board exam (final exam) is written in August 2023. Registrations are currently underway.
Our next intake is March, 2023. You can register for the March program today!
