Natural Nutrition Program with Enhanced Clinical Studies

The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Edmonton (with classroom and virtual classroom formats) is pleased to provide the new Natural Nutrition Diploma Program with Enhanced Clinical Studies (ECS).

How does it differ from the Natural Nutrition Program?

• The Program is delivered in 49 weeks
• This diploma program has an additional Enhanced Clinical Studies component offered in the classroom that complements the original Natural Nutrition Program.
• ECS program allows more learning time in the classroom and more hands on time with the instructor
• Learn through creative and hands-on practicals
• ECS program provides enhanced learning for those that wish to become self employed, such as marketing, bookkeeping, and more!
• Eligible students may be able to apply for student funding

All other curriculum hours, corequisites, and culinary program hours are the same as the original Natural Nutrition Program. Both programs provide a strong foundation for a career in the holistic nutrition industry.

The Enhanced Clinical Studies component could be right for you if:

• You are serious about becoming a practitioner and opening your own practice
• You feel you require extra support and guidance; you may not have a science or healthcare background and think you would benefit from these extra clinical hours and instructor guidance
• You are passionate about learning and want that added confidence and comfort working in a clinical setting with clients

Currently, the original Natural Nutrition Diploma Program requires independent clinical hours outside of the classroom, where the student completes 10 case studies on volunteer clients at home in their own time frame. Some students have expressed a desire for extra support with guided clinical supervision with a practitioner; CSNN Edmonton will provide that in the classroom with extra hours of clinical, practical and culinary per week.

 Students in this program will benefit from the unique hybrid learning environment of virtual plus in-class.

This will be supervised by a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant, a Naturopathic Doctor or a qualified instructor and will give the student needed guidance and an opportunities for hands on experience.  This will enable the student to complete their 10 requisite case studies in the classroom, as opposed to independently at home.

Enhanced Clinical Studies also adds additional hours that can help make your career launch successful, including courses such as Marketing, Bookkeeping & Taxes, Business Plans and Starting Your Business.

In addition, you receive the Holistic Culinary Certificate in our virtual online kitchen.

48 week program 

• Monday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
• Wednesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm

1 or 2 additional practical classes per week as required. Will vary week to week.

Most practical classes are 

• Tuesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
• Thursday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
