Since 1996, the Mississauga branch has grown and evolved in part due to the teachers branch manager Carolyn May has carefully selected that require a minimum of 10 years practical experience plus a strong academic background.

Dr. Diana has been teaching at CSNN Mississauga since 1999. He teaches Preventive Nutrition, Alternative and Comparative Diets, Advanced Nutrition workshops including Detoxification, and practicals.

Dr. Diana received an honors degree in Sociology from York University in 1990. He continued his education and received a degree from York University in Psychology. Dr. Diana graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1995, and has established his practice as a Naturopathic Doctor through a number of clinics in Ontario located in Toronto, Markham, and Simcoe. While he has developed an eclectic practice, he has cultivated particular expertise in women’s issues using Bioidentical hormones, Allergies and Naturopathic Oncology, Fibromyalgia and preventive healthcare.

Dr. Diana regularly contributes to articles on natural health topics in various journals and magazines and lectures extensively across the greater Toronto area teaching preventative medicine. He is writing a book on preventive health care and is involved in supplement product development.

Dr. Val has been teaching at CSNN Mississauga since 2010. She teaches Pathology and Nutrition, Chemistry and Biochemistry and part 1 of the Mind Body Spirit course. Dr. Val teaches some of the Advanced Nutrition workshops, as well as practicals.

Dr. Franc received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph in 1996 and furthered her education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she graduated in 2000. Upon graduating Dr. Val was awarded the Leo-Boucher award for excellence in Clinical Nutrition. She currently maintains a family practice in both Toronto and Aurora where she combines her passion for holistic health and wellness with over 17 years of clinical experience working as a Naturopathic Doctor.

In addition to her family practice, she teaches Nutrition at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and supervises interns during clinical rotations at the Sherbourne Health Center. Dr. Val furthered her complementary skill-set by pursuing certification in hypnosis, becoming a certified yoga instructor and acquired additional training in Acupuncture and Traditional Asian Medicine at Zhejiang Hospital in Hangzhou China.

Her extensive public lecturing has involved various organizations and support groups including the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Mental Health Association. She has also been a guest speaker at the annual conference for the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Val has published articles in Upper York and Living Well magazines. She’s also been featured in Life Peak and Esteem magazine.

Dr. Hassard received his Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from Mc Master University in 1982, Doctor of Chiropractic in 1986, Homeopathic Diploma in 1996 and holds a Diploma in Acupuncture.

Dr. Hassard has been regular contributor as a health columnist and consultant for American Men’s Health and Fitness magazine.

He established the Hassard Chiropractic Clinic in Oakville in 1986, where he has been practicing for 32 years. Dr. Hassard is the highest rated chiropractor in the Oakville Burlington area and on the patient reviewed web site, ratemds.com.

Dr. Hassard has been a teacher at CSNN Mississauga since 2002. He teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Bio Chemistry and Epigenetics, Nutritional Literature Research and practicals. Dr. Hassard also teaches the Advanced Nutrition workshop on Homeopathy.

Irene has been teaching Eco-Nutrition, Pediatrics, Menu Planning and various practicals at CSNN Mississauga since 2002.

Irene earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph in 1996. Irene pursued studies in Holistic Nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Mississauga Branch and has been practicing as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional since 2003.

Her first book, Feed Me…I’m Hungry, was released in 2006, soon to be followed up with Feed Me… For Life. Besides her involvement with Healthy Sprouts Foods and her practice, Wellness Wizards Limited, Irene provides seminars and workshops for public and private corporations. Upon graduation, Irene founded Wellness Wizards Nutritional Consulting and has been in private practice since 2003. She has served on the advisory board for the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals (CAHN-Pro) and is co-author of two meal planning and recipe guides for busy, health-conscious families.

Since 2009, Fiona has been teaching Fundamentals of Business at CSNN Mississauga and practicals.

Fiona graduated McMaster University in 1984 with a BA. She then spent over fifteen years in corporate training before following her passion to study Holistic Nutrition.  In 2005, Fiona graduated from CSNN Mississauga as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional.

Her career experience includes preparation and teaching training courses and presentations of health and wellness seminars to corporate clients. She was an Executive Director for a non-profit organization and worked for a marketing company.

She currently divides her time between running a part-time holistic nutrition practice and providing health and wellness counseling to clients at a medical doctor’s clinic in Oakville Ontario.

Elizabeth has been teaching at CSNN Mississauga since 1998. Her main focus is teaching Symptomatology I and 2. She is Mississauga’s senior case study teacher and is instrumental in guiding students on how to cohesively bring all that they learned into context when preparing client case studies. Elizabeth Leslie may challenge some of your current beliefs… and can be counted upon to stimulate “outside the box” thinking.

Elizabeth has worked in the holistic health industry since 1987. She was born and educated in Scotland and brings a wealth of personal life experience to what she shares with both CSNN students and her clients in private practice.

For several years Elizabeth served as President of the Canadian Natural Hygiene Society. Elizabeth’s private practice includes Holistic Nutrition, live blood cell analysis, enzyme therapy, Heidelberg (gastric) PH testing and conducts raw food group classes.

Anja has been teaching Fundamentals of Nutrition, Allergies, Symptomatology, Case studies and practicals at CSNN Mississauga since 2008.

Anja is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional that graduated from CSNN Mississauga in 2003. She continued her education in Reflexology, Reiki, Iridology and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Anja is Board Certified and an extended board member of the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals, (CAHN-Pro) and is also an active member of CSNN’s Alumni Association.

In private practice, her focus is on the nourishing and preventative benefits of a whole foods diet. She assesses her client’s specific needs and requirements to achieve optimal health and vitality. Anja has also been involved in presenting lunch ‘n’ learn lectures at the corporate level.

Dr. Piazza has been teaching Anatomy & Physiology at CSNN Mississauga since 2013.

Dr. Piazza received his Bachelor of Physical Education from McMaster University in 1991 and his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2001. Dr. Piazza has been in private practice since 2001 and currently operates a NeuroStructural Chiropractic office in Aurora, Ontario.

He has had a lifetime interest in human behavior and performance. Dr. Piazza continues to study in order to bring new techniques such as Neuro Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis to his patients. He also teaches seminars and courses in personal growth and development as well as the science and art of public presentations.

Dr. Raponi has been CSNN Mississauga’s Sports Nutrition instructor since 2014.

Dr. Raponi graduated from York University in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. With his knowledge from sports nutrition courses in university, and prior training, he worked with athletes of various levels of competition for 10 years. In 2017, Dr. Raponi graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where he chose to pursue a focus in sports medicine. He directed his attention to management of pain and recovery, weight loss and nutrition in order to return others back to optimal health.

Upon graduating from the college, he went on to open his own clinic in conjunction with a gym where he now leads a multidisciplinary team as the clinic director.

In 2016 he also received his certification as a Certified Sports Nutritionist from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN). Before teaching at CSNN Mississauga, Dr. Raponi had 14 years of teaching experience in a classroom setting.

He has been featured in articles on Reader’s Digest, OliveOilTimes.com, OrganicAuthority.com and other various online sources.

Peg has been teaching at CSNN Mississauga since 2010. Courses include the Advanced Holistic Nutrition workshop in Mental Health and Introduction to Nutritional Sciences, as well as practicals.

Peg received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1977 and her Bachelor of Education from Western in 1978 leading to a MEd from OISE/UT. She was a high school science and mathematics teacher for 12 years and a guidance counselor for 20. With a life-long interest in food and nutrition, she went on to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional and graduated in 2005 from CSNN’s Natural Nutrition program in Mississauga.

Since retiring from teaching, Peg has a private practice in Holistic Nutrition and is a yoga instructor completing a number of certifications through Phoenix Rising School of Yoga Therapy.

Caroline has taught Part 2 of the Body Mind Spirit course, as well as practicals related to emotional healing and intuitive eating, at CSNN Mississauga since 1999.

Caroline received her Bachelor of Science in 1984. She attended CSNN’s Natural Nutrition program in 1999 and became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional.

Caroline leads various retreats, offers mediation and food preparation classes and workshops.  She is also a certified Yoga teacher.

She is an energy worker that has been exploring and teaching an integrated approach to physical and spiritual health for over 26 years. Caroline is the author of 3 books- Deep HealingThe New Enlightened Eating, and Cultivating Wholeness- and has also produced various CDs and DVDs.

Linda has been teaching Eco Nutrition, Pediatrics and Menu Planning at CSNN Mississauga since 2014.

She has been working in private practice since 2007, specializing in helping adults, children and families create a healthy lifestyle through holistic nutrition, exercise and supplementation to optimize their health.

She is an avid cook and loves to teach her clients and students easy and healthy ways to prepare everyday meals. She also helps them take out the confusion of shopping for healthy foods and chemical free products for themselves and their families. Linda’s education and passion for clean living has lead her to source out healthy chemical free foods, house cleaning products, and products for the body.

Linda has also worked for the school board for 17 years working with young children in the classroom. She made it her mission to help educate the teachers, students and parents of the children, the importance of healthy eating and nutrient dense foods. She was responsible for a breakfast program at the school which has been a great success.

Carley has been teaching practicals in Mississauga on organic skin care and body care products since 2014.

Carley attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and graduated as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional in 2010. For the past 15 years Carley has been a Make-up Artist regularly seeing clients and has obtained over 10,000 hours of directly working on skin and observing patterns of dehydration and malnutrition.

Her make-up client list includes: CTV, CP24, Much Music, OMNI Television and Sutherland Models. In addition she has worked at the M.M.V.A.’s Toronto Film Festival and Toronto Fashion Week. In 2009 she was Jeanne Becker’s personal make-up artist.

Her holistic approach for her clients in private practice is from the inside out and head to toe. Carley uses organic, chemical free products, whole nutrient dense foods and supplements.

Melissa teaches practicals on what to do after graduation and other health-related topics. She has been with CSNN Mississauga since 2015.

Melissa graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Mississauga branch in 2015. Melissa has been a part of health and wellness for nine years. Her career began as a paramedic for Peel Region. With the desire to shift to a more preventative type of health care she pursued her love of fitness and became a personal trainer with a special focus in sports nutrition.

As a CSNN Mississauga branch graduate, Melissa now assists the location as a practicum instructor. In addition to her teaching, Melissa operates her private consulting practice, Make Shifts Happen Inc., where she supports her community in clinic, online and through public speaking engagements. Melissa is passionate about the use of natural nutrition to achieve high performance and elevate health and wellness.

In her private practice, Denise specializes in whole foods plant-based nutrition. She works not only with vegan and vegetarian individuals and families, but also those who are incorporating more plant-based meals into their daily lives.

Denise Massie received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2006. She graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Mississauga branch in 2015 and received her Professional Plant-Based Certification from Rouxbe Online Cooking School in 2017.

Denise is passionate about showing others how simple healthy plant-based cooking can be and has been teaching cooking classes for several years. She is an experienced speaker who has given many public talks and conducted workplace wellness sessions. She has published articles in Nourish and Ontario Vegans Magazine, and has contributed to GoodnessMe.ca.
