How to Know if Transitioning from a Health Blogger to a Holistic Nutritionist is Right for You

If you are a healthy living or healthy food blogger, and you want to take what you do to the next level, you are in the right place! Transitioning from a health blogger or healthy lifestyle influencer to a Registered Holistic Nutritionist/Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant is something that just makes sense if you want to level up your knowledge and skill set. You likely know a lot about health already, so you have a great head start when it comes to taking courses in a Natural Nutrition Program. Getting a certification will help you stand out in this online world that is full of influencers and bloggers. You will have credentials and a depth of knowledge that position you as an expert in the health and wellness world.

Here’s how to know if transitioning to become a holistic nutritionist is right for you:

  1. You love to learn. If you are a healthy living blogger or influencer, you likely love to do your own research. To become a holistic nutritionist, there is a lot of learning involved. The coursework is in-depth and quite rigorous. If you love to learn, it will get you excited to have a better understanding of the human body and how to support a person’s well-being. You will learn things that you can’t simply find through searching online. Not only do you learn about the human body and how it works, but you learn about the environment and the world that we live in. What I found most interesting, personally, that I hadn’t learned before, was how our society is set up in a way that can be detrimental to our health. I was fascinated by everything I learned about large-scale farming and food production. If the health of humans and the health of the environment matter to you, then you will love learning more about it as you go through the Natural Nutrition Program.
  2. You want to be able to help people on an individual level with their health.  When you become certified as a holistic nutrition practitioner, you are now able to provide nutritional consulting to clients. You have the skills and knowledge to analyze their current health and create a custom set of suggestions and a plan to help them support their well-being. As you might know already, and you will definitely learn in the program, every person and every body is so unique. Different people need different things to be healthy and well. You will learn how to address a person’s unique needs.
  3. You have time to invest in your studies. As mentioned previously, the coursework on your way to become a holistic nutritionist is in-depth and rigorous. This is a great thing because helping people with their health requires a great depth of knowledge and understanding. What you need to know, though, is that you will need to dedicate time and energy to your studies. Luckily, CSNN has a very flexible way to work through the program: you can opt to take the program online through Distance Education and do it when it fits into your schedule. This means you can have a full-time job or have a family to take care of or have other responsibilities and still be able to squeeze in time for your studies and finish the program.
  4. You see health holistically.  If you are interested in becoming a holistic nutritionist, you probably already see health from a holistic viewpoint. If traditional Chinese medicine,  ayurveda, mindfulness, or herbs and supplements interest you, then you will love this program. You will learn how to see health as a whole and how everything works together, mind body and soul, to create well-being. It is fascinating what you will learn about the ways our mind and soul influence, and are influenced by, the body.
  5. You already love what you do. If you already love being a health blogger or healthy lifestyle influencer, then you are a great fit for becoming a holistic nutritionist. The world needs more people who are passionate about helping people with their health and improving the health of the earth as well.

As a health blogger, you already have a great foundation.  You likely have loads of content like blog posts, podcast episodes, or recipes already created. You probably also already have an audience, whether it is a tight-knit few or in the thousands. The foundation of free content and an audience is a great jumping-off point for when you become a holistic nutritionist. You’ll be ready to hit the ground running.
