Admission Requirements

For registration details and forms, please visit our Registration Page.

CSNN’s Natural Nutrition Program attracts professionals from around the world and all walks of life: doctors and health care practitioners, complementary health care practitioners, fitness trainers, chefs, writers, and educators. Though many CSNN students have degrees and diplomas from other post-secondary institutions, the minimum entrance requirement is a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.

All applicants for admission must meet the following criteria:

  • High School graduation (transcript required) or be 19 years of age or older
  • Provide a copy of photo ID (must include birth date) e.g. driver’s license, passport
  • An English proficiency assessment may be required if the student did not complete high school or post-secondary education in an English speaking country

A high school level background in sciences or nutrition is highly recommended but is not mandatory.

Program admission requirements may not be waived by the student or the institution.

Registration Form + Brochure

A registration form will be sent with a brochure upon request. It is advised that potential students register well before the March and September start dates as enrollment is limited to 15 to 30 students per class. Tuition tax receipts (T2202) are issued for income tax purposes.

Visit our Registration Page.

Advanced Standing (A/S)

Advanced standing will be considered upon receipt of official transcripts, plus a non-refundable assessment fee of $50 + taxes per course. Students will need to complete and submit a request form (obtained from their Home Branch) prior to the start of the program in order for courses to be considered for Advanced Standing. Courses completed more than 5 years ago are ineligible for Advanced Standing (some exceptions may apply if you work with the subject matter).

Granting of exemptions is strictly at the discretion of the branch manager, and decisions are final. No more than 25% of the program may qualify for exemption; therefore, a minimum of 75% of total studies must be taken with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in order to be eligible for the Diploma in Natural Nutrition.

Program Schedules

The Natural Nutrition Program requires approximately 1,200 hours to complete, including 332 hours of formal classroom training (some branches may vary), 250 hours of off-site independent working on case studies, and 600 hours of self-study and prep time.
