CSNN Vancouver Island is proud to be a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) as authorized by Citizenship & Immigration Canada. Study permit applicants require a learning institution’s DLI number to record on their study permit application. Our DLI #- is O116149580707 (please note the first digit is the letter “O” –for organization).

If you are an International Student you will have to submit the following (please refer to the Registration page for access to forms):

Program Entry Requirements (effective January 1, 2025)

  • High school graduation (official original transcript required) or be 19 years of age or older.  
  • Government Issued Photo ID must be submitted with Registration Application Form. 
  • High School Sciences are recommended.  
  • English Language Proficiency

All program applicants who did not complete high school or/and post-secondary education in Canada in English must demonstrate competency in English literacy in writing, listening, and speaking by submitting evidence either by:

  • Submitting transcripts to show that 3 years of full-time secondary (grades 8-12) or post-secondary education have been completed in English in a country where English is one of the principal languages. (Note: completing only an English language courses does not meet this requirement)
    • (If transcripts are not in English, they must be translated by an official translator and the translated copy submitted along with the original).

OR

For Applicants who do not meet this criterion, they must submit an official score report from a standardized language test/assessment. The tests and minimum scores acceptable for admission are:

  • TOEFL iBT – Test of English as a Foreign Language
    • An applicant must earn a score of no less than 16 out of 30 on any of the 4 test sections and a total score of no less than 75 out of 120.
  • IELTS – International English Language Testing System
    • An applicant must earn a score of no less than 6 out of 9 on any of the test sections.

 Program admission requirements may not be waived by the student or institution.

You are ready to register. Now what?

Firstly, review the International Student requirements for Canada (Study in Canada as an international student – Canada.ca). Visas can take many months to process. Please start your application process early.

Review and complete all registration documents and submit by mail, by email in PDF format, or in person. All required documents must be submitted before your application will be processed. CSNN V.I. refund policy can be found in the Student Contract.

Registration applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Emailed applications can take up to one business day to be reviewed.

Make an appointment to meet with Audrey, our Branch Manager, for a one-on-one informational interview which can take place in-person or virtually. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the program, the profession, and have your questions answered. Visit our FAQ page for more information.

When your application is successful, payment of the non-refundable deposit will be requested. In 3-5 business days, you will receive your acceptance package via email which includes the documents you require to complete your Student Visa application. Completing this process then holds a seat in the intake you are requesting.

If your application does not meet the Admission Requirements, we will notify you.

Social Insurance Number Form

Complete the Social Insurance Form. This is required to provide you with a tuition receipt at the end of the year.

Scan and email to us (we may request to view original documents):

  • Copy of high school transcript (or equivalency) or if you are applying as a Mature Student, an essay (to include your Why Holistic Nutrition, Your Health Journey (optional), and what you want to gain from doing the CSNN Program). We expect this will demonstrate that you have researched the Program and that you have a genuine desire to complete the CSNN Program (see Admission Requirements above).
    • If your transcripts are not in English, they must be translated by an official translator. Please submit the translated copy along with a copy of the original. *Please see below for information on English Language Assessment.*
    • During the pandemic, we require you to complete a COVID-19 Waiver as part of the registration package.
    • Application fee of $1000 (plus applicable tax) as per the Student Contract (please review the full tuition and fee details). Payments can be made by cheque to “Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Victoria”. We accept Visa and MasterCard payments over the phone, or e-transfers from a domestic bank account. If you are already in Vancouver, you are welcome to pay in person with card or credit card.
    • Complete the Photo Waiver Form.
    • A copy of your study permit. This can be provided separately from the other registration documents, but must be received by us no later than the program start date. Late entry to the Program may be permitted.

NOTE: English Language Assessment

Please note that an English proficiency assessment may be required if you did not complete high school or post-secondary education in an English speaking country. This assessment helps gauge your English language proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal skills. The Natural Nutrition Diploma Program is intensive and includes technical, scientific, and medical language. Success in the program depends upon English language proficiency. The cost of the English proficiency assessment (if required) is $250 plus applicable taxes.

NOTE: Student Visas

Please do your research before you apply. International students who would like to apply for  study visa to study/live in Canada must enroll in our in-classroom program. 

It is the student’s responsibility to speak to CIC and research the possibility of a post graduation work permit. CSNN Vancouver Island cannot guarantee that international students will be granted with a work permit upon completion of the Natural Nutrition Diploma Program.
