Career Accomplishments: Jenna Den Hoed is a Red Seal Chef, Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant, and Culinary Expert on Celiac Disease and Food Restriction.
A highlight of my career has been seeing the joy and freedom my clients feel after getting back their favorite foods. I love creating custom meals and recipes for them to enjoy so they can embrace the experience of flavours, textures, emotions, memories, and nourishment their favorite foods can offer. I love making gluten-free vegan baked goods like bread, muffins, pastries and birthday cakes. I also love bringing restaurant experiences like Korean BBQ, hot pot, and hibachi grills into clients’ kitchens!
As someone with Celiac Disease working for years as a professional chef, I was shocked that the quality of food served was focused on using cheap processed products whenever possible to save on kitchen food costs. Navigating food allergies and sensitivities was completely disregarded in staff training. The lack of education on dietary restrictions and all-around care put into food preparation left me so frustrated. I found that community and health were lost in the fast-paced culinary industry, not only in the customers consuming the food, but also those of us working in the industry. I decided that if people like me with strict food restrictions couldn’t enjoy eating out, I wanted to bring restaurant food to them with a nourishing twist!
I started Jenourish after graduating in 2021 to help educate others on embracing wellness through food and bringing nourishing restaurant-quality dishes into their kitchens. I enjoy bringing back lost favorites to those with restricted diets. I LOVE cooking and caring for chronically sick individuals or busy caregivers so they can continue to pour their energy back into connecting with others.
Features: I was featured in a podcast with a grief counselor to address how grief affects health and how we can use food during that time to help nourish depletion.

I believe the biggest impact that food has on our lives is to connect us to others and ourselves. After years 5 years of working as a cook in the commercial food industry, my mental and physical health were at their worst, which pushed me to learn about how food affects my body. I decided to pivot my career and in 2021, I completed the Natural Nutrition Program at CSNN.
Finally, I got some answers to many questions about repairing my gut after my Celiac diagnosis and how to nourish myself out of burnout. I was fascinated to learn about targeted nutrients and lifestyle adjustments that could support common symptoms like; headaches, food cravings, PMS, joint inflammation, poor sleep, and others that are generally brushed off as “normal”. I strive to give others the tools to address their symptoms through nutrients and lifestyle adjustments so they can get back all of their energy and be pain-free!
