Alumni Profile: Meredith Deasley

Meredith Deasley is a woman who is working very hard in her community to put an end to the epidemic of children reacting to food. She recognizes that the general health of our children is the worst that it has ever been. Today allergies, chronic illness, recurrent infections, obesity, depression, learning disabilities, autism, diabetes and others are rampant. Meredith strongly believes that the North American diet is the single most contributing factor to the pervasive poor health we are seeing. She knows that it is never too late to restore health to the body of a child.

In 1989, Meredith obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario and at the age of 19 began her ten-year corporate career. She started in 1990 as a Commercial Underwriter for Lombard Canada and then became their youngest manager of their cross border facility. Next, she performed seminars and created marketing materials for Canada Life where she was their Senior Marketing Manager in the Group Life and Health division from 1995-1997. Meredith then became a Commercial Insurance Broker for Keilty, Muntz, and Beatty from 1997-1999.

By 2002, Meredith had given birth to two daughters and healed them of their extreme reactions to food. In that same year, she started her own company, “The Resourceful Mother”, specializing in pediatric nutrition. Meredith is acsnn-certification-mark-colour-sm Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional, graduating from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) in Richmond Hill with the highest marks in her class. She has helped hundreds of families solve their health challenges through consultations. She also conducts nutrition seminars for parents, teachers and students. These seminars take place at parenting and community centres, schools and The Real Canadian Superstore. She also teaches pediatric nutrition at CSNN.

For many years, Meredith’s clients and audience members had been requesting that Meredith author a book because of the clarity with which she understands the health issues that are facing our children of today. After 6 years of researching and writing, Meredith published her breakout book, “The Resourceful Mother’s Secrets to Healthy Kids” in February of 2010. She continues to teach parents across North America how to nourish the bodies and souls of their children.
