I have always been passionate about health and wellness. Growing up in Ireland, we grew our own food in our garden, and I enjoyed playing sports outside, including rugby, soccer, and golf. I always knew I wanted to help people find better health through their diet and lifestyle, which is why I became a personal trainer and holistic nutrition professional. Completing CSNN’s Natural Nutrition Program allowed me to help my clients both inside and outside of the gym, by providing holistic nutrition and lifestyle recommendations that optimize their fitness routines.
Education and Certifications:
I received a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science and followed it up with an MSc in Sport and Health from the University of Exeter before settling in Vancouver in 2011. I have been operating a personal training company, fivego fit, for the past number of years, where we help busy professionals improve their health and wellbeing through diet, lifestyle, and stress management. In addition to being a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ professional, I also hold an accreditation as a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist and have taken several courses with the CHEK and Poliquin Institutes on exercise and holistic health.
I wanted to help my clients both inside and outside of the gym. Although exercise is important, diet, rest, stress management and other lifestyle factors can be just as productive or counterproductive to a person’s health and well-being. I am committed to lifelong learning and am constantly upskilling.
