Chanelle Lagassé graduated as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist from the CSNN in the Spring of 2022, and shortly after opened her virtual nutritional counselling practice, Evergreen Nourish Co. Having worked as a healthcare professional since 2015, she thrives on putting together the puzzle pieces of her clients’ lives from an evidence-based lens to help them holistically achieve their health goals. Chanelle launched her signature program, Evernourished Hormones, in 2023 to focus on women’s hormone health. She has since obtained a degree with distinction in Environmental Studies with a focus area in Environmental Health from the University of Manitoba. This allows her to further bridge the gap between our environment and overall health, particularly when it comes to the effects of endocrine disruptors on our hormones and of our environments on our nervous systems. She strives to help her clients achieve a simpler life that supports their wellness, while understanding the complexity of making lifestyle changes from having gone through her own tumultuous health journey and the thousands of hours of one-on-one client counselling experience under her belt.

Apart from doing her soul’s work in the health space, Chanelle enjoys travelling and hiking with her husband and high school sweetheart, spending time with her family, and, of course, eating all the yummy plant-based food.”

Health is a value that was ingrained in me from a young age due to having severe asthma from toddlerhood. Naturally, I threw myself into university for a healthcare career straight out of high school in hopes of helping others with their health as well. Unfortunately, stress management did not come naturally to me, so I began experiencing symptoms throughout university, while the high stress clinic work environment I entered in my early 20’s proved to be less fulfilling than I had hoped. After many years of a fast paced career as a health professional, I was dealing with multiple hormone and skin issues without much help from conventional providers, so found myself gravitating towards more holistic health practices through my own online research.

In 2020, I decided that I needed to make a change and enrolled in the online CSNN program, which I completed within two years with Distinguished Merit. This was the best decision for me, as the online format removed the pressure and stress of deadlines, which allowed me to really immerse myself in the new knowledge.

CSNN allowed me to have a career that addresses the whole client rather than compartmentalizing the body, all while following my passions for health. In my 20’s, I had not envisioned one day being a business owner, yet it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life to build a nutrition practice from the ground up. This would not have been possible without CSNN giving me the confidence to lead with my heart and the ability I craved to help clients from a holistic perspective.
