My name is Rejan and I graduated CSNN in 2013. I originally became interested in nutrition because of my own gut health issues that were seemingly impossible to solve with conventional interventions (they said nothing was wrong with me). After my education in the field and working hard over the last few years to learn all I can about the gut and microbiome, and do my best to heal it – I’m finally at a good place with my health.
During that time, I filled various roles in the nutrition industry, from working in supplement stores to starting a smoothie delivery company to running my own nutrition consulting business, and then to where I am now – working my dream job as the nutritionist for an amazing small company of like-minded individuals. I still run my blog, Whole Harmony Health plus related social media channels, and incorporate food photography, education, recipe development, and partnerships with health-conscious brands to bring awareness and discounts to products I love. The company I work for, Habit Lifestyle Medicine, is a collaborative team of health professionals & coaches and we started off by primarily working with the RCMP all over Vancouver Island. Our various health programs and memberships are now available to the general public and other RCMP detachments across Canada. Because we work 100% remotely, our clients can do our programs from anywhere. Helping RCMP officers achieve optimal health and wellness has been so gratifying and our whole team is so proud that we can deliver such a useful service to those who work to protect us.
I love being a holistic nutritionist to guide others to reach the balance I once searched for, and I’m continually expanding on my knowledge as the field grows and changes.
When my own health issues were not being solved by allopathic medicine, I turned to nutrition – and it changed my life. I knew I had to help others see that there were answers out there to their health problems – I just didn’t know how. When searching for nutrition schools, I came across CSNN. I knew right away that it was what I was supposed to do and I enrolled almost immediately. My time at CSNN was eye-opening, fascinating, and transformative. I’m so glad that I took my health into my own hands, and that I now have the knowledge, experience, and understanding to help others do the same. I love that there are so many different paths you can take as an RHN, too. I’ve worked in supplement stores, wellness centres, ran two businesses – a healthy smoothie delivery service and nutrition consulting, I work with health food brands to create content for social media, and I now have my dream job as the nutritionist for an amazing company helping people achieve optimal health all over Canada.
