Renée Robbins

Renée Robbins is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist located in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Her passion is promoting homemade food, local and seasonal eating, and a proactive lifestyle to support long-term health.

After graduating from the University of Victoria in 2008 with a degree in Philosophy and Applied Ethics she returned to school to follow her lifelong passion for food and nutrition. She graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2016. In 2018 she began instructing both academic and culinary classes at CSNN’s Victoria campus. During this time, she came to realize that teaching culinary classes is where her heart lies. Nutrition knowledge is so important, but people also need practical food skills to put that knowledge into action!

Renée owns and operates her own business – Homegrown Nutrition – offering educational programs, event speaking, workshops, culinary lessons and demonstrations. She also works one-on-one with clients as their personal nutrition coach providing support, motivation and accountability while helping them learn and apply nutrition knowledge that will serve them for a lifetime. Her business mission is simply “to help people eat better so they can feel better.” Renée mentors her clients to help them develop the knowledge, the food skills, and the confidence they need to make healthy, delicious, and health-promoting choices.

When she’s not busy in her own kitchen or garden you’ll find her inspiring others to support local, eat seasonal, use whole food ingredients and to make it homemade!

I have first-hand experience that changing the way you eat can completely transform your life. I have always been passionate about food, but before CSNN I didn’t have a firm understanding of nutrition. I wanted to understand the big picture. I wanted to learn how to use food as a tool to promote health and longevity. My education with CSNN gave me exactly what I wanted (nutrition education) and exactly what I needed (like-minded community) and I know that the knowledge I gained there will serve me for a lifetime.
