Biography

Karen is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and is a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.  She holds a Master of Education degree in School/Community Psychology from the University of Calgary, with specialized training in play-, art-, and activity-based therapies.

Karen provides assessment and counselling services to children, adolescents, and adults.  She has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of people with the symptoms of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD).

Six years ago, Karen completed her nutrition journey beginning with a diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN).  Since that time, Karen has been taking this knowledge and supporting her clients’ brain and mental health by coaching them of the effect of all the different things that they feed themselves and put into/onto their bodies.  Finally, Karen enjoys running educational groups to get the word out that “pills don’t teach skills” and support families in making all their lives easier by feeding nourishing foods that calm the nervous system, pump up brain power, and even out emotions so that everyone in the family is able to be their best self.
