Shandell’s journey from burnout to brain health advocate is truly inspiring. As a devoted wife, and mother of four daughters, her life was a whirlwind of family and work. Dedicated to fitness and health, she prided herself on cooking meals from scratch and maintaining a balanced diet. However, she believed she thrived under stress, and as a hardworking entrepreneur, she often sacrificed sleep.
As life’s demands increased, Shandell responded by pushing herself harder until she reached the brink of complete burnout. Years of high stress, minimal sleep, and self-neglect took their toll, resulting in cognitive issues, brain fog, and fatigue. In 2013, a conversation with her doctor revealed symptoms of mild cognitive impairment, with the looming threat of Alzheimer’s or dementia. Determined not to let this define her future, she discovered solutions in the world of natural medicine.
Shandell enrolled in the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, overcoming her cognitive challenges to graduate with honours in 2017. She furthered her education with a certification in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition in 2021.
Through her studies, Shandell discovered that the brain, like the body, can be restored at any age with the right knowledge and actions. Recognizing that many people were unaware of how their nutrition and lifestyle choices affected their health, she felt compelled to share her insights with others so they wouldn’t have to struggle as she did. As a former teacher, she longed to educate and empower others to reclaim their health.
Shandell has developed a proven system to help clients renew brain function, revive energy, restore health, and reclaim their lives. Alongside her husband, she currently runs a group program and offers individualized health coaching. Having experienced the fear and frustration of declining brain function firsthand, Shandell is passionate about helping others overcome similar challenges. Her personal experience, combined with extensive research and education, has established her as an authority on intervention through nutrition and lifestyle. She has guided many in understanding the hidden causes behind disease, degeneration, and the decline often associated with aging, while helping them make key changes to create vibrant health.
Her journey is a testament to the grace of God and the power of determination, education, and natural medicine.
When not teaching or working with clients, Shandell enjoys connecting with her family, exploring nature, camping, hiking, kayaking, rollerblading, or cooking up something healthy and delicious in the kitchen.
